🏅 What a brilliant way to finish the school sport calendar for the year!
Last week, the Marches Academy Trust Primary Rounders and Ultimate Frisbee Varsity took place at Shrewsbury School, bringing together pupils from across our schools for a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and fun.
The event was a wonderful celebration of another successful year of school sport, with pupils demonstrating determination, resilience and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. It was fantastic to see so many young people enjoying the opportunity to compete, develop their skills and represent their schools with pride.
A huge well done to everyone who took part and thank you to the staff and organisers who made the event such a success.

Our talented Year 4 Oakies have been hard at work developing their practical tool skills to create some amazing ‘Forest Friends’! 🌳🦔
Using bow saws, hand saws and hand drills, the children have learned how to use a range of tools safely and confidently. They have also practised careful whittling to shape their woodland creatures, showing fantastic focus, resilience and creativity throughout the process.
Activities like these help children develop problem-solving skills, perseverance and confidence, and some of our Oakies are proving to be very skilled craftsmen indeed! 👏

As part of our One Voice Initiative, pupils recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Vicarage Nursing Home, helping to strengthen connections with our wider community. ❤️
During their visit, the children painted tree ornaments in preparation for the Nursing Home's summer fair and spent time chatting and working alongside residents. We were incredibly proud of the respect, kindness and empathy they showed throughout the day.
A special thank you goes to Rhianna, Activities Coordinator at the Vicarage Nursing Home, for welcoming us so warmly and helping to make the visit such a success.
We are already looking forward to future visits and continuing this valuable partnership with our local community. 😊

Our wonderful choir had a fantastic time at Shropshire Sings🎶
They sang their hearts out alongside several schools from across Shropshire, with even the audience joining in at times.
Despite a slightly breezy evening, the sunshine made it a lovely opportunity to perform outdoors.
