We would like to say a huge thank you to Bayston Hill Juniors FC for sponsoring and supplying our brand‑new football kit. As a school, we are incredibly grateful for your generosity.
Your support gives our children more opportunities to play, grow and represent Oakmeadow with pride, while strengthening the partnership we continue to build within our local community.
Thank you for helping us create even more opportunities for our children ⚽👏
Year 2 had a brilliant time travelling back to 1666 to learn all about the Great Fire of London.
The children explored real‑style 17th‑century objects and took part in amazing hands‑on activities, including making scented pomanders with herbs and hessian and crafting their own clay fire marks. It was a fun and engaging way to bring history to life, and the children loved every moment 😊🔥📜

We have been having loads of fun at lunchtime. From making leaf necklaces to shooting hoops on the basketball court, playing dominoes and even building our own boats on rainy days, there has been plenty of creativity and teamwork on show.
It is lovely to see the children making the most of their playtime 😊🍃⛅

Year 3 had a fantastic trip to Shrewsbury Museum, diving into history through an exciting scavenger hunt that brought the exhibits to life.
The highlight of the day was a brilliant Stone Age workshop where the children tried building simple weapons, creating cave‑style paintings, grinding grain into flour and even crafting accessories inspired by animal skins. It was hands‑on, imaginative and full of fun an unforgettable way to explore the past 😊🪨✨

Our classes had a fantastic day taking part in a Roman Workshop led by Historical Workshops. Throughout the day, the children explored a range of activities that linked perfectly to our Spring term history topic on the Romans.
From handling replica artefacts to taking part in immersive sessions, it was a brilliant way to bring history to life. The photos captured throughout the day show just how much curiosity, excitement and hands‑on learning took place 😊🏺✨
