As part of our ongoing Climate Action Plan at Oakmeadow, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and encouraging sustainable habits across our whole school community.
To help spread this important message, we are inviting our children to design eye catching and creative posters to display around the school. All children are welcome to take part.
The deadline for entries is Friday 20 March. Two winning designs will be selected and announced the following week, with prizes for each winner. The winning posters will be displayed in key areas across the school.
We cannot wait to see the fantastic ideas and creativity from our children. Families can support this initiative by talking about energy saving at home too.
Our Oakmeadow Holiday Club is back this Easter and open to all children 🌈

We had a brilliant time celebrating World Book Day. Reading is such an important part of life at our school, and the day gave everyone the perfect opportunity to share favourite stories with friends.
It was also lovely to see our staff getting involved too, helping to make the day even more memorable and showing just how much we all value reading together.
Take a look at some of the highlights from the day and follow us to see more of the learning and fun happening across our school.
Day 4 at Arthog - making the most of the last full day and the activities on offer! Gorge walking, caving, canoeing, beach time and finishing off with evening activities together before packing for home! ... See MoreSee Less
Fun in the sun on day 3 at Arthog! Canoeing, rock climbing, mountain walking to take in the fabulous views, and a spot of raft building...although Mr Weaver doesn't look overly reassured with their construction techniques! 🤔😂 🛶 ... See MoreSee Less
We have been recognised in the top 10% of schools nationally for attendance. This reflects the commitment of our children, families, and staff in making Oakmeadow a place where children love to be every day.
Attendance matters because: ✨ Every day in school counts - children learn best through consistent routines and being part of daily classroom experiences. ✨ Strong attendance builds confidence, helping children feel connected, settled and part of their class community. ✨ Positive attendance habits last a lifetime, supporting resilience, independence and future success.
Thank you to our wonderful community for your continued support.

Our Reception children have had a wonderful end to their ‘People Who Help Us’ topic. We were delighted to welcome Little City - Shropshire into school an exciting experience kindly funded by our fantastic PTA.
The children absolutely loved exploring the ‘little city’. They tried out different jobs, dressed up and played cooperatively as they moved around the role‑play areas. It was a brilliant way to bring their learning to life and a day full of imagination, teamwork and smiles 😊🏙️✨
