We have been having loads of fun at lunchtime. From making leaf necklaces to shooting hoops on the basketball court, playing dominoes and even building our own boats on rainy days, there has been plenty of creativity and teamwork on show.
It is lovely to see the children making the most of their playtime 😊🍃⛅

Year 3 had a fantastic trip to Shrewsbury Museum, diving into history through an exciting scavenger hunt that brought the exhibits to life.
The highlight of the day was a brilliant Stone Age workshop where the children tried building simple weapons, creating cave‑style paintings, grinding grain into flour and even crafting accessories inspired by animal skins. It was hands‑on, imaginative and full of fun an unforgettable way to explore the past 😊🪨✨

Our classes had a fantastic day taking part in a Roman Workshop led by Historical Workshops. Throughout the day, the children explored a range of activities that linked perfectly to our Spring term history topic on the Romans.
From handling replica artefacts to taking part in immersive sessions, it was a brilliant way to bring history to life. The photos captured throughout the day show just how much curiosity, excitement and hands‑on learning took place 😊🏺✨

Year 1 had an exciting day taking part in a historical workshop all about toys of the past.
The children explored a wonderful range of old‑fashioned toys and board games, comparing them to the things they play with today.
They also enjoyed watching incredible puppet shows, taking part in a puppet masterclass and making their own puppets to take home. A fantastic day for everyone involved 😊🎎📚

We would love your help. We are looking to refresh our lunchtime play resources and are on the lookout for good quality, usable items such as Lego, Duplo, building blocks and board games.
If you have anything you’re happy to donate, we would be so grateful. Your support helps us create fun, active and creative playtimes for our children 😊🌟🧩
