Wraparound Care

The Little Bug Club – Wraparound care for our EYFS

From the 4th January 2016 we will be starting “The Little Bug Club”. This is a wraparound care service for our EYFS children only – Nursery and Reception run by trained professionals within school.

Morning Sessions of “The Little Bug Club”

Breakfast club will run from 8am-9am daily. Children will be offered a choice of toast, cereals, fruit, yogurts, milk and fruit juice. Entry to the morning sessions of The Little Bug Club is from the main foundation stage entrance outside the school reception. (Longmeadow Road). The club will be held in the Ladybird base so all children are very familiar with the surroundings. Children will be taken to their classes by the staff at the end of the session.

After School Sessions of “The Little Bug Club”

After school sessions of The Little Bug Club will run from 3pm-5.30pm. The club will again be run in the Ladybird base. Children will be collected from Bumblebees and Grasshoppers by the staff at the end of the school day.

A range of activities including storytelling, outside play, art and craft and games will take place daily. The children will receive a small snack during club time and this will include items such as sandwiches, toast, crackers and fruit.

Collection will be from the main foundation stage entrance outside the school reception.

Costs for “The Little Bug Club”

The price is £3 for a session for the morning Little Bug Club.

The price for the afternoon school session is £3.50 per hour and this will be pro-rated to the nearest fifteen minutes.

We do ask that all sessions are booked termly in advance and you will be invoiced half termly. There is no refund if your child misses a session due to non-school attendance. However, we can offer adhoc sessions if required, which must be booked by the Thursday of the previous week.

The club closes at 5.30 and there is a scale of additional charges if you collect after this time. You will be charged £1 for every five minutes you are late.

Booking forms can be found enclosed along with this letter. If you would like to book sessions on receipt of this information you will then be asked to complete a registration form for the club.

We hope as many of you as possible take up the opportunity for your child to join “The Little Bug Club”. They do not have to attend both the morning and after school care. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Kearney or Mrs Hoy the Nursery Administrator.
